The cost of eating out

Written on February 7, 2012 at 10:28 am, by Tony Oswin

To help those who would like an idea of the cost of eating out on the islands this summer, we have surveyed the local restaurants here on Thassos.

A meal for two including a starter plus bread, a main course (we chose mid-range priced menu options), the usual complimentary sweet and a large glass of wine, the total price was around 22€ (£18 and $29), i.e. 11€ per person (£9 and $14.50). The portions, especially the main courses, are large so very good value for money.

Kos will be similar, with prices on Santorini dependent on the location of the restaurant, e.g. those with a view of the caldera tend to be more expensive.

We hope this helps.
